Not even a single glance back

Ignoring the urge as if it were nothing new,

Your confidence radiant as you walk out door.



“Please, no..”

A quivering voice trails behind you,

its echo haunting your new dreams and desires.


Might regret be in your eyes when I come to mind?

Could your hate have finally ripped me from your memories?

Tossing me out and watching me fall at last?


Was a death meant for the cold hearted,

A demise that meant freedom to the victor.


And I shall never rise again, My love.

Heart shattered and existence now useless.

Nowhere to hide from such agony in my mind.
